Global Pride
Global Pride Crossing
With the cancellation of pride events around the world, the 'Global Pride Crossing' initiative invited players of Animal Crossing to participate in virtual celebrations and host Pride parades on their islands. The virtual festival is one of the activities supporting Global Pride 2020, a partnership between different LGBT rights organizations in response to Covid. On Pride day itself, Twitch creators could live-stream their game sessions and pride activities, in an effort to raise funds for LGBT organizations.
